PIN - Provision of Variable Speed Drive (VSD) maintenance

There are currently approximately 62 Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) in use across the Sellafield site from a range of manufacturers including ABB, Cegelec, Siemens, Vacon and SEW. Sellafield is looking to compete a competition for the placement of a 4-year framework for the maintenance of VSDs to support Sellafield site operations. The total spend over the life of the contract is estimated at ~£1M. The scope of the work will include the following: • Routine asset inspection and servicing • Breakdown support • Asset recovery • Appropriate and accurate specification of the spares • Management of existing spares • Spares provision • Obsolescence planning • Review and updating of Sellafield Ltd maintenance instructions • Training in immediate diagnosis and repairs
