PIN - Provision of Operating, Maintenance and Mangement Support Services

Since 1993, Fellside CHP (Combined Heat and Power Plant) has been the single provider of continuous steam and electrical supplies to the site, as a safety critical requirement of the nuclear site. CHP may be retiring in April 2023, to be replaced by Fellside Steam Generating units as provider of continuous steam supplies to the site, as a safety critical requirement of the nuclear site. However, an option is also being considered to extend the operational life of the CHP up to 2026/7. This decision will be finalised in January 2022. The services required by this new contract are: • Operation & maintenance of Fellside Steam Generating Units (Fellside Boiler Park and New Steam Generation Plant) • Operation & maintenance of existing CHP (Gas Turbine 1(GT1) & Auxiliary Boiler, Steam Turbine and ancillary equipment) and transition to a care and surveillance programme currently. • Continuation and ongoing care and surveillance programme for Fellside retired CHP assets • Decommissioning, dismantling and removal of retired CHP assets
