Dear Supply Chain,
DSRL have submitted the attached Waste Enquiry Form (WEN) for 14 drums’ worth of solid combustible waste from Dounreay. The material has arisen as secondary waste from works on a redundant “baler” at one of the site’s waste facilities. The material mostly comprises waste Wood, PVC, Swabs, Rags, Tyvex, Gloves, Absorbent materials, Hydraulic hose and metal unsuitable for metallic waste treatment. The waste was bagged at source and placed in Dounreay’s “C-bins” (200l drums). DSRL have provided, along with the WEN, spreadsheets detailing the drums’ contents, survey reports and a photo. DSRL intend to transfer the waste to the service provider in a FHISO overpack for transport purposes by the end of March 2022. DSRL are likely to use their own FHISO however they have requested an optional price for the container provision (note this will not be taken into account in the Commercial scoring). Transport will be undertaken by DSRL or via the LLWR transport framework. LLWR request a fixed price for the receipt and incineration of this waste based on the details stated in this RfQ, WEN and supporting information.
This package of work will be awarded on the following basis:
Acceptability of being able to deliver the package of waste through to disposition (Yes / No) Yes = 50% weighting.
Should a response of Yes be provided, you will then be marked commercially.
Commercial Price – Lowest Price = 50% - The provider with the lowest price will then be awarded the package of work.
A fixed price should be provided and be broken down into an unloading charge (if applicable), volume charge; and activity charges.
As an optional extra please also provide a cost for the container provision for this package of work.
Please provide your response by midday Friday 14th January 2022.
Kind Regards,
Fay Anthony obo LLWR
