The rft has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) participate in the Cumbria Blue Light Collaboration Working Group and are currently developing the concept of the Joint Emergency Service Officer (JESO) role across Cumbria. This new exciting initiative will see the JESOs drive forward innovation, effectiveness, efficiency and further develop blue light collaboration, which aims to provide the best service for all the residents and visitors across Cumbria, whilst making our communities safer through education, prevention and response activities. The JESO is a multi-service blue light role based around local communities and undertakes the role of an On-call firefighter and a Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) role. Further development of the role will also include Emergency Medical Response to cardiac arrest patients, similar to the NHS Community First Responders role. The JESO role maintains critical skills in all remits and proactively delivers a range of community safety messages across the community. They also have a crucial role in engaging with members of the community, town and parish councils to ensure a two way approach to gathering and sharing local information and ensuring action is taken to address these issues. As such they will have an important role to play in supporting community resilience and ensuring local accountability.
