LLWR BATS Qualification - Cat 4: Environment

Environment (Advice / Consultancy / Ecology) Environmental and Ecological support in the following areas: Regulatory compliance and improvement, including but not limited to: Production of non-radiological impact assessments; Production of radiological impact assessments and other technical work to support environmental safety cases (including site-wide); Production of BAT /BPM/ BPEO assessments including in support of large engineering projects, including stakeholder engagement; Technical support, including authorship of management system documents, to activities associated with environmental regulatory compliance and improvements; Environmental Impact Assessments to support Planning requirements; Ecological surveys, assessments & support/advice; Sustainability, resource usage and energy efficiency assessments; impact assessment of chemical hazards linked to environmental compliance, for example REACH and other conventional safety legislation including CHIP/CLP. Preparation of EURATOM Article 37 submissionsLegislation review, training and general consultancy, including but not limited to: Specialist reviews of environmental legislation; Provision of environmentally-related training; General environmental consultancy, including hydrological/hydrogeological Site characterisation / environmental monitoring: Best practice assessments for environmental monitoring programmes; Collection of environmental samples/radiological monitoring. Routine reviews/trend analysis of environmental measurements, comparison with model predictions and provision of current impact assessments. Collection and analysis of samples for site characterisation and investigative programmes including installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment. Data recording, interpretation and reporting including statistical analysis and GIS support. Radioactive waste management support
