Explanation
The control systems being maintained and serviced have historically been supported by the Original Equipment Manufacturer due to the equipment having intellectual property rights associated with the spares required. From market research Sellafield Ltd will now open up this scope of work for a tender and invite the market to bid for this scope of work.
This award is made on an 18 month basis. In this timeframe a full open OJEU tender will be competed for this scope of work.
