Description of the procurement

The scope of works for this contract includes the following activities:
• Cut, strim and collect grass in prestige areas around main site entrance, bus stance, entrance carriageway, dog kennels and verges at former exhibition centre access road;
• Cut and strim grass in other areas identified on site;
• Cut areas around former exhibition centre and A836 access roadway;
• Cut areas around identified around outer perimeter fence;
• Cut grass for The Purchaser is seeking to award a contract to one Supplier for the Provision of Annual Grounds Maintenance on the Dounreay Site. a width of 2.0 m. around inner face of perimeter fence at Wetland and Bee Meadow;
• Cut, strim and collect grass at Viewfirth site, Thurso;
• Apply weed killer to gravel areas on site. Twice per year. Spot weed kill gravel, tarmac and concrete areas as necessary throughout the year;
• Apply weed killer to areas identified around perimeter fence;
• Apply weed killer to 6 no. Capped Barrier areas;
• Apply weed killer to 20 no. Security Gun Butts, 1.0m. radius;
• Apply weed killer to 5 no. offsite EMS/HVAS stations, to boundary fence;
• Apply weed killer to area around Vulcan Sub Station, east and north sides;
• Cut ‘controlled areas’ upon request;
• Apply Weed killer at offsite Radio Mast;
• Cut and strim around and approach to 42 no. boreholes, on site and off;
• Apply weed killer to approach and around 135 no. camera towers;
• Cut and strim grass to all flat areas and verges at offsite Firing Range;
• Apply weed killer to footpaths and gravelled areas at offsite Firing Range;
• Apply weed killer to footpath areas at D3110 & D3120 Vaults offsite;
• Apply weed killer to approaches and areas around fire exits (incl. fire escapes) site wide;
• Apply weed killer to areas within compound at Ormlie Training Centre, Thurso;
• Cut verges in both Offsite Car Parks in silent hours;
• Apply weed killer to new high security area within FCA;
• Cut areas North and North West of Whatlings Hanger and North East of the transport compound.
