Description of the procurement

The Purpose and Lines of Enquiry The purpose of this pre-market engagement PIN is for Sellafield Ltd to gain a greater understanding of the supply chain that supports Journal and Literature Access. We are asking the supply chain, who are interested, to respond to the Lines of Enquiry detailed in this scope and those with the capability to support this requirement through the CTM (enter ref) by (date) using the message function for the PIN. Background Sellafield Ltd manages the operations on the Sellafield Site and its core mission over the coming decades will be to ensure that ageing hazardous facilities are made safe and to decommission the most complex nuclear site in Europe. This mission presents a range of engineering and technical challenges and uncertainties, many of which are unique with no ready-made solutions. Sellafield Ltd are responsible for navigating through these challenges and uncertainties and to enable them to do this work, there are a range of technical and scientific communities within Sellafield Ltd, all of whom require access to academic materials, particularly journals and literature. Access to this information is key to ensure Sellafield Ltd can stay abreast of modern thinking and maintain safe operations.
