  • The contract falls outside the scope of application of the regulation
Explanation
Decision supported by consequence of not having a contract in place and to prevent any impact to the ability to comply with LC11 Emergency Arrangements. All of the skills, knowledge and experience to successfully run the Contractors Cotrol room is currently supplied by and through Mitie Ltd.
Consequences of not having a contract in place:
- Loss of Area Control for a large portion of the Site (i.e. connection to Building Controllers in buildings that report to the Contractors Control room and several offices and facilities across Site)
- Loss of oversight of people on site reducing the ability to manage people in an emergency.
- Loss of a large part of the communications to the Contractors on site
